The 8-day Mystery of the Rainbow trip explores a maze of small canyons collectively named Mystery Canyon by the first explorers of this region because finding a route into them was so difficult.  The trip is possible only because Terry Gustafson organized several exploratory trips to find a backpack-able route through these canyons in the 1990s.
